Oil Filter

Oil filters are critical to the health of a vehicle, keeping it running at maximum efficiency.

The oil filter cleans the oil in a vehicle's engine to keep it running smoothly. Its job is to maintain a clean flow of oil by filtering out impurities, particles, and other contaminants from the oil in the engine.

1. Filter Material: Oil filters are usually made of paper, metal or synthetic materials. Paper filters usually have layered construction and provide high filtration efficiency. Filter efficiency: The filtration efficiency determines how effectively the oil filter can clean the engine oil. Higher efficiency means that smaller particles are filtered out. Flow Capacity: The flow capacity of the oil filter ensures that the engine oil circulates properly. An oil filter that does not have sufficient flow capacity can negatively affect engine performance. Durability: An oil filter made of materials resistant to engine conditions can have a long service life. Also important is a durable gasket and housing designed for engine operating conditions. Anti-Drainback Valve: Some oil filters include an anti-drainback valve that allows oil to remain in the filter when the engine is not running. This gives the engine better lubrication during cold starts.
